Mi-30
Over the past few years, RZA has been experimenting with the idea of transmutation and the translation of planes into form that hint at movement and fluidity. The ‘Mi Series’ is a demonstration of the transferability of 2D planar geometry into 3-Dimensional space/enclosures that imply organic growth. Light, as a central source, acts to emphasise layers of translucencies and depth.
As part of the ongoing research, the intention is to merge the distinction of silhouette and body and to blur the definition between architecture and product design. The resulting design has a hybrid identity, part product and part model and a representation of a moment within an ongoing journey.
